Despite the widespread power outages and school closures of last week, the show DID go on!
The Mark Twain PTSA and Studio East production of the 4th and 5th grade play, Space Pirates, was performed in our very own Twain cafeteria.
We have so many people to thank who contributed to all stages of the show, and in particular, we'd like to thank our principal, Malia Goodfellow, who really made this happen for our students. She enthusiastically opened up the building and got everyone on board with moving the play to Twain. Typically this show is held at Lake Washington High School, but because they didn't have power, we had to quickly change course and she was so supportive in this effort. Additionally, a giant Space Pirate THANK YOU also goes out to McGinnes Ladd and Tonya Alblas, our parent producers who...

As Thanksgiving has come to a close, we would be remiss to not thank our amazing volunteers who donate their spare time and money, their energy and creativity, to support and execute our PTSA programs.
Our volunteers come up with fantastic events- adding gardening and dance lessons to our school days and sewing and school plays to our weeknights. They comb kids' hair for picture day and run art lessons every month. They offer up homemade goodies and store bought snacks for our staff. Our volunteers work behind the scenes designing graphics, setting up our online stores, doing data entry, and creating our yearbook. They stay late to clean up after events.
Twain PTSA volunteers model to our children what it means to contribute to a community. Twain PTSA volunteers do it all. We are so appreciative and proud of you all.
Thank you.
