Thank You Explore Art Docents & Teachers

Thank you to each and every one of our 70+ art docents as well as all of our amazing Twain teachers for their time and dedication to support art curriculum in our school.

The PTSA led Explore Art program allows us to teach the 7 elements of art to our students and provide a framework for future art study. Art education fosters creativity and imagination as well as boosting self-esteem, social-emotional growth and academic performance.

This program continues to be a shining example to our community and gets stronger each year thanks to our amazing team of volunteers.

Special thanks to our program lead, Nicki Schulman, who continues to improve the program's organization and creates engaging and innovative projects for all our students. Thanks also to our dedicated VP, Malaika Silliker, our outstanding Clay Lead, Katti Swanson and our reliable and super organized grade level leads, Melody Herring Bane (K), Alex De Obeso (1), Parvoneh Neilsen (2), Janani Kartik (3), Nicki Schulman (4) and Sita Mani (5).

Consider joining our team next year! No art experience needed. Docent Training will be held on September 25th 6-8pm.
